Ms Sarah Flint, FRCOG
Sarah Flint qualified from Kings College Hospital in 1988 with a prize in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and distinctions in Pathology, Medicine and Pharmacology. She trained in hospitals in the South East including Kings College Hospital and St Georges Hospital. She completed a two year research fellowship at Kings College Hospital where she trained in both Gynaecology ultrasound and Fetal Medicine under the direction of Professor Davor Jurkovic and Professor Kypros Nicolaides.
Her research interest was transvaginal ultrasound of the cervix in the prediction of preterm delivery. She was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 1999 at University Hospital Lewisham setting up a transvaginal ultrasound service and the Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic. In 2002 she moved to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to lead the Ultrasound services including Fetal Medicine, Early pregnancy and Gynaecology ultrasound.
The service has expanded considerably and she continues to lead a team providing a full range of Obstetric and Gynaecology scanning services in a unit delivering almost 6000 babies. She holds the Fetal Medicine Foundation Diploma in Fetal Medicine. She has an interest in medical education and was Kent Surrey and Sussex Head of School for Obstetrics and Gynaecology between 2011-2017. She is currently Chief of Service for Womens, Childrens and Sexual Health at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. She has worked in The Gynaecology Ultrasound Centre since 1999.
