Information for Consultants and GPs – our Centre is dedicated to provide the highest quality ultrasound diagnostic service in a patient-friendly, comfortable environment. The service is consultant-based to ensure excellent technical standards and interpretation of findings within the appropriate clinical context. All our consultants are experienced gynaecologists running busy NHS clinics and they are able, in addition to ultrasound scanning, to provide a comprehensive gyanaecological service to GPs who wish to refer their patients for management as well.

Ultrasound scan can also be perfomed by clinical fellows who work alongside consultants and under their supervision. All fellows are trainees in obstetrics and gynaecology ST 3 level or above. They are trained to a high standard and they are all involved in the running of busy NHS gynaecological ultrasound clinics on a daily basis. Most of them are working towards obtaining a higher academic degree in gynaecology.

We are open every day and we run regular early evening and Saturday Clinics. We issue the reports on the same day which are sent to the referring doctors by facsimile and regular post. We are also able to send reports by e-mail in PDF format, subject to patients’ explicit consent.

Our clinics are fully computerised, which facilitates safe storage of data and immediate access to patients’ files whenever needed. You may request appointments with any of the doctors working in the centre by telephone, facsimile, e-mail or by sending us a letter/referral form.
